Personal Quote:

Some days you’re the windshield, some days you’re the bug.

What attracted you to Marick?

The chance to advance professionally while working with people I like.

Experience:

Twenty plus years in publications production, several years in the horticulture industry, six years in Federal LMS support. I cut my professional teeth on customer service and find that it serves me well, no matter what the job.

Education:

BA in English from The College of William & Mary, graduate classes at GW University

Hobbies/Causes/Charities (any or all of the above):

Gardening, animal welfare, environmental causes. I love attending craft shows but find them a danger to my bank account!

What was your first job?

First job ever was babysitting; first “real” job was working for the Northern Virginia Sun newspaper as the telephone operator/Girl Friday. First job out of college was working for the Airline Pilots Association.

Do you have any musical talents?

Does having a nephew with a college scholarship for French horn count?

Three things that many people don't know about me:

I live on the street where Patsy Cline was born.

My great-great grandfather lived to be the oldest man in Chicago at the age of 107.

My family includes people who are Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, Hindu, Seventh-Day Adventist, Unitarian, and Atheists. Also: White, Black, Indian (the country) and Japanese. We are an EEO family!

What is your work style?

Team player/collaborative/customer-service oriented. I am a problem solver.
